Two-year, roughly 150-hour Iyengar teacher education programme run as three nine-week trimesters a year from September to June. It prepares candidates for national certification, which is administered separately by IYNAUS rather than granted by the programme itself. Entry is assessed, not open.

Admission: restricted

Prerequisites: Consistent study and practice of the Iyengar Yoga method at Level 3 for a minimum of one year; demonstrated proficiency in Sanskrit asana names, accurate form, alignment and prop use, tested at an in-person knowledge assessment; commitment to completing the two-year course; and current and continuing membership of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York.
